Rattenberg

Tightly bounded by the Inn River, this small medieval town clings to the side of the Schlossberg.  The barely 600 residents of Rattenberg - making it the smallest town in all of Austria - live in historic homes that have been painstakingly restored. Rattenberg is also known as the "Glass Town" and not without reason.  There you will find everything that gives glass its special form of beauty: glass is engraved and painted, there is fine crystal, there are plates, tumblers, bowls and more.  You can also watch glass-blowers as they go about their work.

It is 33.3 km from Zell am Ziller to Rattenberg. The car drives takes about 31 minutes.
